Allstaff Glasgow have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Quality Manager to work with our client who’s service focuses specifically on validation of buildings claims. When buildings are damaged it`s not just the bricks and mortar that are affected - it`s people. They have a team of office based Customer Service Advisers and Building Claims Inspectors, who work together to make sure their customers can get back on their feet should the worst happen.

Continued growth has resulted in this fantastic opportunity with an entirely new role for someone to join this innovative operation and play a pivotal part in strengthening this successful team.

As Technical Quality Manager, you`ll have responsibility for reviewing the variations received from contractors on both domestic and commercial property repairs, from a quality and price perspective, to make sure that the works quoted are in accordance with the damage caused as a result of the insurance claim.

When everything`s in order, you`ll approve the costs and set in motion an efficient repair program. However where queries arise, you`ll need to have the technical knowledge and confidence to pro actively challenge contractors on their recommendations.

The successful candidate will therefore have to build rapport with contractors to ensure that such discussions are meaningful and constructive.

By reviewing variations and comparing them with our own investigations, you`ll have a great opportunity to identify any training required to support our field based team, and your recommendations will help to shape their development.

Based in a busy Glasgow office, you`ll work alongside our enthusiastic internal team who will also benefit from your input via coaching and mentoring to expand their technical knowledge and become more self sufficient.

To achieve all of this, you`ll need to have robust technical knowledge of building construction, design and defects and at least 5 years property repair experience either through claims handling or a contractor role.

If your experience sounds like a good fit, we`d love to hear from you.

In addition, the right candidate must be able to demonstrate;

  • Strong I.T. skills, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
  • A pro active approach to problem solving
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal
  • The ability to coach/mentor both one on one, and to a group
