All you need to know about working with Allstaff…

Many of our candidates once registered with Allstaff for their first job. Today, they are hiring managers using Allstaff to recruit their own talent!

How do I go about registering with Allstaff for work?

The easiest way is to send in your CV through the website. Your details will then be passed directly to the appropriate member of our recruitment team.

They will contact you to discuss what you are looking for, and if appropriate, send an invitation to register online.

Alternatively, you can call either the Glasgow or Paisley office to discuss your requirements and our available jobs.

Our offices are currently open on an appointment-only basis.

Can I apply, if I and notice you are advertising a position I believe a have the relative skills /experience for, and I am already registered?

Absolutely. Our Recruitment Team regularly conduct database searches for those meeting criteria set out by clients before advertising.

However, it’s always best to check. We are happy to discuss any roles we are advertising.

If you put me forward for a position, and another agency contacts me for the same position, would I stand a better chance of interview if I allow 2 agencies to represent me?

There is no advantage in allowing 2 agencies to represent you.

The client will only look at your CV once. You should decide which agency you think will best represent you to the client.

Allstaff takes the time to meet all our candidates. We believe this allows us to build a relationship, and better understand what you are looking for.

It is much better to advise at the time if you are contacted regarding a job you have already been consulted on.

Is there any charge to me for using your services?

No. Our service to our candidates is completely free!

If I started to work for you doing temporary jobs, will you still contact me for permanent work?

Of course, we want to get the best outcome for all our candidates.

If you are looking for permanent work, we will contact you regarding any roles which match your requirements and skills.

Many of our temporary roles also lead to permanent positions.

I worked as a “temp” for Allstaff. How do I get paid?

Each week you will complete an online timesheet. This should be completed and confirmed by Monday morning. This is to ensure payment by BACS on Friday. Payments are made 1 week in arrears.

Do I get holiday pay from Allstaff?

Yes. You are entitled to 28 paid holidays per year. This is under the Working Time Regulations.

If you work less than 5 days per week, your entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. Holiday pay is paid on an accrued basis.

You may be entitled to more holiday pay, after 12 continuous weeks of work. This is according to Agency Worker Regulations.

Do I get paid statutory and bank holidays?

No. You would be required to use any holiday entitlement you have accumulated. This is under the Working Time Regulations.


Auto Enrolment is a government initiative. It requires every employer of staff, normally working in the UK, to put their qualifying staff into a workplace pension scheme.

The employer is required to make contributions towards their employee’s pension.

You will be entitled to a 3% pension contribution from Allstaff if you are eligible. This is on the condition that the agency worker contributes 5%.

If eligible, auto-enrolment will be postponed for 12 weeks from the commencement date. You will also have the right to request to join auto-enrolment from your start date.
