Allstaff Office Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Logistics & Customer Service Assistant for company based in Airdrie. This is a temporary contract up until approximately end of December.

Job Duties

  • Accurately inputting details of shipments on in-house database Multifreight.
  • Regularly monitoring & shipment delivery dates & collections in both Europe & UK
  • Communicating delivery & collection confirmations or delays to our customers
  • Responding to email bookings from our customers in a timely & efficient manner
  • Obtaining Place of Delivery (POD) from transport partners after delivery of shipments
  • Supporting the accounts team to ensure shipment sales & costs are accurately inputted.
  • Emailing out a selection of sales invoices to customers.
  • Sending the required shipping & delivery documents to European & UK partners
  • Preparing & recording shipment paperwork & obtaining crucial documents from suppliers.
  • Answering & responding effectively to telephone calls from customers & suppliers.

Essential Skills

  • Basic English & Maths skills
  • An eagerness to learn new skills & embed themselves into a new environment.
  • An ability to organise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Work effectively within a small team
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience in an office environment & administration role
  • Communicate effectively over the telephone

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a logistics environment
  • Ability to solve problems under pressure.

Work Schedule & Company Benefits
Monday to Friday – 35 hours a week plus one hour unpaid lunch break
Working Hours – 0900 to 1700 Hours

Salary: £13.50 per hour
