Allstaff Manufacturing Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Maintenance Operator or a well established company in Clydebank. The role is to carry out routine maintenance & emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings, and building systems as set out by the Factory Manager/Maintenance Technician.

The Role:

Assist with management of plant maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures. This includes updating database, tracking & maintaining records and obtaining quotes.

  • In conjunction with Maintenance Technician Inspect, report and repair where possible factory machinery, equipment, racking, internal and external facilities such as auto doors, gates, fences, heating, ventilation, compressed air, air conditioning systems.
  • Internal and external building and facility inspection and reporting and repairs e.g. yard surface and car park surfaces, drain, condition building fabric.
  • Carry out in-house repairs including racking repairs, welding & fabrication, maintain and repair locks, doors, controllers etc. To schedule set by Factory Manager/Maintenance Technician.
  • Assisting contractors where required when on site. Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Check and maintain safety equipment such as entry systems, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors.
  • PAT testing of electrical equipment.
  • Assisting or standing in for other members of the plant team e.g. salting of paths or clearing snow.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot problems, breakdowns and issues reported by colleagues.
  • Calibrate and maintain production hand tools e.g. electric and air wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches and crimping pliers.
  • Assist in factory or office moves and installs.

All of the above to be carried out within the guidelines of Quality and Health & Safety Policies.

Requirements:-

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written with strong attention to detail and organisatinal skills.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in a similar environment
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read drawings, manuals, and technical specifications
  • Interpersonal skills

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 12.30pm (38.5 hours total)
