Allstaff Finance & Accountancy Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Accounts Manager for company based Hillington, Glasgow.

We are looking for an Accounts Manager to take ownership of divisional management accounting, financial control and complex tax compliance.

You will bring strong process-improvement skills, together with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders, while providing key support to the Head of Finance.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with one hour lunch (40 hours per week)

About this Role:_

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will deliver end-to-end divisional management accounting, balance sheet integrity, and UK tax compliance. Your key responsibilities will include:

Management Accounting & Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for designated business divisions, maintain oversight of all ledgers (purchase, sales, fixed assets, depreciation, and general ledger), and prepare weekly aged debtor and invoicing reports.
Tax & UK Statutory Compliance: Exercise general oversight and reconciliation of HMRC ledgers, with robust hands-on involvement across VAT, CIS, Corporation tax, import tax, Expat tax, and PAYE (including Apprenticeship Levy and SMP/SPP adjustments).
Balance Sheet & Intercompany Control: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, oversee multi-currency reporting, manage FX exposure, and process intercompany recharges, lease accounting, and associated journals.
Payroll & External Liaison: Post and reconcile monthly payroll journals, liaise with external auditors and tax advisers on audit schedules and transfer pricing, and comply with ONS surveys.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve internal controls, financial reporting, and operational efficiency across the finance function.

Candidate Requirements:

Must be a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (Minimum AAT Level 4, or partially/fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
At least 5 years of proven experience in management accounting or a similar analytical finance role.
Solid practical understanding of UK tax compliance, including VAT, CIS, PAYE, and Corporation tax.
Familiarity with finance ERP software such as SAP, Scala, or SIS AP systems.
Advanced MS Excel skills with strong confidence in financial modelling and data analysis.
Deep understanding of management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with ability to meet deadlines
