Facilities & Maintenance Engineer

Allstaff Engineering Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Facilities & Maintenance Engineer, based in East Kilbride.

This is a permanent role, and salary is paying up to £42,000.

Hours of work are based on 37 as follows: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm; Friday, 7:30 am – 2:45 pm

Overview of the Role

Our client is an established supplier to the semiconductor industry, manufacturing specialist.
This is a varied, hands-on position suited to a proactive engineer who enjoys fault-finding, practical maintenance and facilities work.

Key Responsibilities

•  Carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
•  Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintain accurate maintenance records.
•  Support TPM activities, continuous improvement and site upgrade projects.
•  Maintain buildings, equipment and surrounding areas to a high standard.
•  Undertake general facilities tasks including minor repairs, decorating, furniture assembly and installations.
•  Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required.
•  Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.

Experience & Skills

•  Recognised apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
•  Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
•  Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
•  Knowledge of facilities maintenance, building services and general repairs.
•  Confident using hand and power tools safely.
•  Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable but not essential.
