Architectural Technician/Designer – Glasgow

Allstaff’s Manufacturing Division is recruiting an Architectural Technician/Designer on behalf of a well-established Glasgow-based company. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity created to strengthen customer service by ensuring technical accuracy in design and compliance with building regulations. By managing projects from initial drawings through to manufacture and installation, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth and commitment to quality.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Apply a strong understanding of current UK building regulations to all project work.
  • Deliver technical expertise in new build façade, windows, and curtain walling systems.
  • Manage your own projects within an architectural setting, from concept through to installation.
  • Work closely with customers and internal departments to confirm connection details, elevations, and layout drawings are accurate and compliant before manufacture.
  • Produce technical submissions and drawings using AutoCAD to support high-quality delivery.

Skills & Experience Required

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an architectural setting (design, detailing, or project management).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Confident communication skills to liaise with customers and colleagues effectively.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation.
