Allstaff Office Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of New Product Development Executive for a leading manufacturing company based near Renfrew. With over 40 years of experience working with the best people in the industry, we have an exciting opportunity for a New Product Development Executive to join their team.

Role Overview:

In this role the successful candidate will manage projects for in-house brands and growing customer portfolio of globally recognised consumer brands. The primary function of the role is to manage the development of new products from concept to launch alongside continuously improving existing products. To achieve this you will work closely and collaboratively with all departments including marketing, technical and operations. For their customers you will be their key point of contact, providing best-in-class customer service and support with all their product development needs.

This role will suit an enthusiastic and resourceful candidate with strong organisation and communication skills and a genuine commitment to exceed customer expectations. In return this position provides a tremendous opportunity to join a friendly team in a dynamic company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of new products from concept to launch and manage updates to existing products
  • Manage project timings, drive progress and effectively communicate project status updates internally and to customers
  • Develop customer relationships and manage customers’ NPD projects
  • Identify and present new product concepts
  • Product costing and negotiation
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Creation and management of briefs for formulation and packaging

  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and good attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-moving environment
  • Customer service/account management experience
  • Positive and pro-active approach
  • Commercial awareness

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Proficient in communicating in a clear, diplomatic, and professional manner
  • Able to manage and progress multiple projects simultaneously
  • Happy to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently
  • Results orientated and proactive in problem-solving

Experience in NPD, packaging or project management in FMCG or similar fast-paced sector would be advantageous.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday 9 am–5.30 pm or 8.30 am–5 pm; Friday 8.30 am–4 pm (37.75 hours per week)
